*ABOUT THE HALDIMAND ABILITIES CENTRE (HAC)
HAC
is a partnership of the Alzheimer Society of Haldimand Norfolk, Brain
Injury Services and CNIB Outreach. It offers supportive programs and
services to individuals facing challenges related to Alzheimer's disease, dementias, acquired brain injury, physical or developmental
disability, visual impairments and/or isolation.
In addition, HAC
welcomes all members of the community. Even if you do not face challenges, we welcome you to Qigong classes. Qigong can work for everyone because it is 'customizable' to meet the needs of each participant.
HAC requests only a $3 donation from participants so that fees will not be a barrier for anyone. However, if you are able, please be as generous as you can. Fees for the same Qigong classes I teach elsewhere are $12/class.
And, if you have a skill, service, or gift of knowledge that would benefit HAC clients, please consider volunteering.

ABOUT THE HALDIMAND ABILITIES CENTRE (HAC)
The HAC is a partnership of the Alzheimer Society of Haldimand Norfolk, Brain Injury Services and CNIB Outreach.
It offers supportive programs and services to individuals aging with chronic disease or disability.
HAC welcomes all members of the community. People who use their programmes often face a variety of challenges related to Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, acquired brain injury, physical or developmental disability, visual impairments and/or isolation.
HAC is a very special place.
This is the third year I have been honoured by HAC to be one of their programme instructors.
If you are a community member and not facing those challenges, I most sincerely welcome you to Qigong classes at HAC along with participants dealing with challenges.
Qigong can work for everyone because it is 'customizable' to meet the needs of the participant -
whether the participant struggles with many issues or is quite well and fit.
Even well and fit participants have unique strengths and weaknesses.
HAC most generously offers me an honorarium and
requests only a donation from programme participants - usually $3.
At this donation level, fees are usually not a barrier to access for anyone.
However, if you are able, I would ask you to be as generous as you can in your donation.
Fees for the same Qigong classes I teach at HAC are $10/class or week of classes at other venues.
And, if you have a skill, service, or gift of knowledge that would benefit HAC clients,
please consider looking at their programming to see if there is something you do
that could be a good fit and you would like to offer them.

ChiFusion™ Level 1 - The Eight Brocades -
The Eight Brocades is a series of exercises or patterns that was developed in China over 800 years ago. And, although younger people do the practice, or 'play' as the Chinese say, it is the generations of people who have reached their mature years who have made sure that the practice persists and remains vital.
There is a very good reason for this. The Eight Brocades is a gentle, easy to learn, subtle, and powerful practice that keeps people healthy, strong, and agile.
